The ultimate culinary dream job
Not everyone has the opportunity to get paid to do what they love. That’s what’s so special about being a personal chef.
Not only do personal chefs get paid to do what they love, but having people love your cooking and the pride of running your own business while still having time with family in friends is virtually unheard of with other jobs in the hospitality industry.
Not to mention being a Chef is just cool!
Save money + make great money
Culinary school costs tens of thousands of dollars. Plus, it focuses on restaurant work which can be the lowest wages and quality of life for a job.
One of the most fantastic things about the culinary world is you don’t need to go that route to be a successful chef. There are many famous chefs who didn’t go to culinary school like Ina Garten, Gordon Ramsay, Lidia Bastanich, and Tom Colicchio to name just a few!
Having a step-by-step blueprint from an experienced personal chef helps you avoid the costly mistakes that amateurs make.
Plus, you’ll gain the confidence that puts you head and shoulders above the competition and you can confidently charge what you’re worth.
Fastest route to getting paid to do what you love
Whether you’re a passionate home cook or a burnt-out restaurant professional, you probably don’t want to waste time trying to swim through an internet full of sketchy advice.
Figuring everything out on your own can be a long, slow road and often involves detours and wrong turns.
Having an experienced personal chef guide you can get you up and running in a fraction of the time with tried and true business savvy and exactly what you need to know.
Instead of piecing things together, a step-by-step blueprint walks you through each critical area of starting your business giving you the confidence you need to charge what you’re worth.
About The Chef
I’ve always loved to cook.
After finishing a college degree, I wanted to go to culinary school but I didn’t have tens of thousands of dollars to spend on more school.
So, I found myself in 2004 hating my job, at a dead end as far as my career, plus I had a bad commute.
It was a trifecta of crap.
I started thinking that it was time to do something I wanted to do.
Something I was passionate about.
Cooking had always been my joy and I dabbled in small catering for family and friends, but it was too inconsistent to consider as a real job.
I’d worked in plenty of restaurants over the years but slaving away working late nights, weekends, and holidays was a non-starter. I was newlywed and planned on starting a family.
I finally realized that becoming a Personal Chef was the perfect solution.
I would be able to work doing what I loved, and I’d have the flexibility of determining my own schedule.
Plus, the money is much higher than the low hourly rate of restaurant work.
I started Elegant Eats Personal Chef Service in 2005 and never looked back.
At different points, I’ve worked full time, cooked for multiple clients in one day, worked part-time, cooked for clients while pregnant, taken a baby with me to cook, and taken time off altogether.
I’ve cooked for professional athletes, single people, billionaires, middle-class families, celebrities, people on severely restrictive diets, you name it.
I’ve provided everything from weekly dinner service, romantic dinners for two, corporate team buildings, cooking lessons and even a fondue party for 50.
And made great money while doing it.
Being a personal chef is the best career in the world as far as my completely unbiased opinion goes.
I get to get paid to do what I love and the complete freedom of having my own business on my own terms.
When I’m not cooking for my own clients, I help passionate home cooks start their own spectacular personal chef business so you can get paid to do what you love too.
If you want to get paid to cook, but don’t have tons of cash to throw at culinary school or the years required to work your way up in a restaurant, becoming a Personal Chef is the perfect solution.
